‘The Sia are an indigenous tribe centered at Sia Pueblo. They are known for their pottery and use of the sun symbol. They are one of the Keres Pueblo peoples and speak the Eastern Keres language.’

‘The name “Ungava” is of Inuktitut origin, meaning “towards the open water”. It is believed to be in reference to the lands inhabited by the Ungava Inuit, who lived at the mouth of the Arnaud River which flows into Ungava Bay.’

‘Siouan is a language family of North America that is located primarily in the Great Plains, Ohio and Mississippi valleys and southeastern North America with a few other languages in the east.’
