This Blaupunkt Hamburg from 1962/1963 was a sought-after radio for the Porsche 356, VW beetle and Mercedes in the early 1960s but was of course also used in other car brands. The Blaupunkt has a vintage chrome metal front with (green 356) transmitter screen, 5 preset keys and 2 Blaupunkt vintage rotary knobs.
The transistor Blaupunkt has been tested several times and works exceptionally well on the Mid wave, in the Netherlands little reception on LW, but BBC and a French channel.
Pressing the left dial is ON/OFF, turning for volume and (gently) pulling out for the tone control. The right dial is for transmitter search.
The Blaupunkt is now on 12V standard ground (can also be set to 6V). 2 Speakers can be connected to the 2.5W amplifier (at 12V). Plug for 1 speaker is included.
This well-functioning analogue nearly 60-year-old Blaupunkt is well packed and shipped insured.
