Silver purse/wallet with silver chain.
Made of 800/1000 pure silver.
The width of the purse/wallet is approx. 10 cm (maximum measured). The length: measured from “the clap” (knob) to the bottom part of the purse is approx. 20.5 cm.
The length of the chain is circa 25 cm: measured from “the clasp” to the highest point is: measured from the centre.
The size of the chain therefore is, as it were, 50 cm.
The lot is in a very neat condition with minor signs of wear and scratches mentioned for completeness.
In photo 10; in the greatly enlarged shot, you can see that 1 minimum "wire" : in about the middle of it, is missing: negligible as it were.
The purse/wallet is assayed/hallmarked on the interior met:
D & G and “800”: Maker’s mark and the silver content.
In addition, it has been hallmarked on the outside with the mark for Silver Appendages: with in it, is the number 20.
This method of numbering (inspection) was introduced from 1932.
The number 1 is used for 1 to 5 grams etcetera.
The ring of the chain is similarly marked with the number 5. They also bear the ornate letter "J" : this concerns the old tax stamp that was used for old and domestic objects in the period 1906-1953.
The clasp, decorated with “acorns”, also works fine.
The bracket has refined decoration.
The lot therefore is in a very neat and original condition.
Will be packaged with the utmost care prior to registered shipment.
