Impressive cutlery set in solid silver, made in the Austria-Hungarian Empire in 1844 and still in excellent condition.
Austria-Hungary was formed with the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867 and was dissolved following its defeat in the First World War. The union was established by the Austro-Hungarian Compromise on 30 March 1867 in the aftermath of the Austro-Prussian War. It was a real union between two monarchies, the Austrian Empire and the Kingdom of Hungary.
This set was made in 1844 during the Habsburg Kingdom.
Until 1867, the finesse of the Austrian silver was indicated in ‘tenth’ (in our case, 13loth=812/1000).
The set is made up of 12 spoons.
