The Mandalay style depicts the Buddha sitting in vajrasana, with his right hand pointing towards the earth in the bhumisparsa mudra position. It is the most characteristic form of religious sculpture in Burma and known as "calling the earth to witness", it represents the moment when the Buddha sat in meditation under the bodhi tree during the night before his enlightenment.
Many decorations with different colours of glass. The eyes are separately inlaid with a different type of material, there is a kind of half discs on the wood, on which the eyes are painted.
Wood carved Buddha with patina, some spots and stains here and there, shrinkage crack in the left side and behind the hand, and signs of age.
