Hans Kresse is the unrivalled most important comic artist in the Netherlands. The year of 2021 will be dedicated to this master; it is the year of his 100th birthday and Eric de Noorman turns 75.
Kresse was also a constant in the Geïllustreerde Pers Winterboeken. In addition to Arendsoog stories, he also illustrated several other stories, including the story Avontuur in een Spelonk by Anthony van Kampen.
This lot concerns a black and white illustration made for the story, which appeared in Winterboek 1967.
Ink on paper, 33 x 22 cm. The illustration is in very good condition.
