Rare so-called butler table made of mahogany, inlaid with walnut wood.
England, ca. 1900.
The table consists of 2 levels. Lower level is 45cm high, oval 80 x 54cm. Inlaid along the edge with a narrow band.
Upper level is about 85cm high, oval 63 x 38cm. Inlaid with a flower-bow motif. Bottom strip of 30 by about 5cm restored (already at purchase, see invoice).
On top of the highest level is a tray with wooden edges, narrow copper handles and the top is made of glass so you can see the inlay. The tray is rimmed at the bottom with a cord (original) to prevent damage.
4 spider legs inlaid with narrow bands.
Minor signs of wear. Always been in private possession. Collection only. Will NOT be sent by us. Delivery in the Netherlands at diesel compensation in consultation.
