A very fine example of Victorian miniature portraiture of a Gentleman.
It is possible no notice some minor cracks of the front glass.
The handmade painting has slight erosion on the bottom edges of the portraiture.
The back glass is in very good conditions.
It contains a fabric protecting the back of the paint.
The rectangular shaped frame appears to be mainly made of an alloy with high percentage of copper.
The miniature has not been inspected out of the frame, so its difficult to say the exact material used for the painting.
It seems that the artisct has used the traditional Georgian method of miniature portrait painting, favoring minuscule, almost dot like brush strokes to create a finely textured image.
The artist shows great skill in a particularly small portrait with wonderfully crisp shadows and line work.
Item will be shiped with much care.
