Very beautiful and large old ship lantern from the second half of the 19th century. This is a starboard and port lamp.
This lantern is beautifully made, the design and since the lantern is riveted, it shows that this is a very early version. Also the glass is clearly antique, as there are several air bubbles in the glass.
The oil lamp contained in it is from a later date and has replaced the original lamp. Oil lamp is in good condition and works well. Please also see the photos for the condition of this lamp.
