KLIRA Archtop guitar ~1958 - rare German vintage
This is a super rare Klira archtop guitar, made in the 1950s in West Germany. Klira was one of the biggest guitar manufacturers in West Germany during that era, distributing a lot of guitars to other countries as well. Klira guitars easily match Höfners and Framus in quality.
Everything on this guitar is very elaborate and of the highest quality. With a flooted Star single pickup One piece solid spruce top, body completely made of maple. Three-piece maple neck glued lengthwise with a continuous headstock. Dark rosewood fretboard with four trapezoid inlays of pearloid, on the 12th fret. Matching pearloid inlays in the headstock as well as the pearloid fingerboard. Luxurious multi-ply bindings all around the body, sound holes, fingerboard and headstock, checkerboard design. Tailpiece made of black stained pearwood, 3-ply nut. Solid lyre tailpiece and open tuners with butterfly grips.
