Bronze statue depicting ‘Venere Callipigia’, found in Rome and currently at the Museo Archeologico in Naples.
Probably made in the early 20th century, as a souvenir for ‘Grand Tour’ tourists who visited the main Italian archaeological sites including Rome and Naples.
Refined cast with detailed design of details such as the face features, hair tied back, folds of the large cape.
Decorated base with double acanthus leaf frame.
Height 27 cm, base diameter 10 cm, weight approx. 1.6 kg.
