A George lll period sterling silver and cut glass 8 piece cruet. Hallmarked for London 1803, believe to be by Charles Chesterman ll but makers marks are poorly struck.
The set contains 7 assorted oil and sauce bottles, one silver mounted with spout and a silver lidded preserve jar.
The set is engraved with armorial crest of a Griffin Rampant and Crown, which would suggest that this was originally commissioned for a country estate.
The overall condition is good with some very small chips mainly to stoppers, the largest is pictured. All could be ground out if desired. The hallmarks on the preserve pot are very hard to read but may not match.
The gross weight of the set is 1.6kg.
