Chelyabinsk is one of the most famous meteorites due to the variety of recordings of the fall available. It is estimated than thousands of people were injured due to the shock wave that broke many windows and roofs of houses and factories in the city of Chelyabinsk, Russia, the February 15, 2013 at 09:20 local time.
Chelyabinsk meteorites are indispensable in every collection. Despite the first rush after the fall, they are increasingly raising their price. They have a characteristic black and smooth fusion crust and white interior. Sizes vary but most common weighs are just a few grams and sometimes even less than a gram.
