Also known by the provisional name of Imilchil, this meteorite was classified as a IIAB iron. Iron meteorites come from the core of dead asteroids in which heavy elements sunk to the center due to gravity. Agoudal was first described in 2011.
The falling rock exploded forming some small craters and creating shatter cones and suevites. Thousands of little and intricate meteorites scattered around the current location of the town Agoudal, which is the highest town in Morocco at 2300 meters above sea level.
