Excellent piece under classification.
With a spectacular fusion crust and contraction crust due to a quick cooling.
HEDs are meteorites from Asteroid 4 VESTA, the second largest asteroid in the solar system, and located in the asteroid belt, which is between Mars and Jupiter.
HEDs are classified into 3 major types: Howardites, Eucrites and Diogenites.
The piece now on display is a superb Eucrite, in which we can see its composition, as well as its fusion crust.
