¶ Hans Tentije, pen name of Johann Krämer (Beverwijk, 23 December 1944), is a Dutch poet, writer and teacher. Cynicism - because the promises of the late 1960s were not redeemed - is a constant in his work. An adventurous way of life was also a recurring theme in his later works.
Tentije received several prizes for his poetry collections. In 1979 he won both the Van der Hoogt Prize and the Herman Gorter Prize for ‘Wat ze zei en andere gedichten’. In 2005 his collection ‘Deze oogopslag’ was awarded the ‘Guido Gezelleprijs van de stad Brugge’. In 2017, he was awarded the Constantijn Huygens Prize for his entire oeuvre.
