Who does not want to know how fast his locomotives can run or which distance the trains travel on the system. You can find it all out with the new H0 model of the EHG 388. This is a multi-protocol decoder (DCC with RailCom / Motorola®) which uses the Hall-sensor based odometer hidden in a bogie to determine the following data: Current speed, maximum speed, average speed and distance travelled. The values are displayed on two backlit LCD displays, which are located on both sides in the middle of the wagon behind removable wall sections. A button located in front of the display switches the display, with a second switch the displays can be reset.
The measuring electronics also work on analogue DC and AC systems. If you don't want to measure anything at times, you can push the wall sections back and have an auxiliary equipment/annex wagon as an eye-catcher in the station. The wagon is equipped with switchable outdoor lighting and a directional white-red light signal. Interior lighting also with digital control.
Thanks to universal electronics, the wagon can be converted from center-wire to two-wire operation by pulling off the pickup shoe.
