Märklin H0 - 26600 - Nine-piece passenger train set of the D&RGW railway.
A one-off edition of Märklin in 1999 to mark the 50th anniversary of this CZ train in the orange-silver livery.
Joint project of 1949 of the 4 railway companies Chigaco, Burlington & Quincy, Denver&Rio Grande Western and Western Pacific
The train is known as the "California Zephyr", the first "Domeliner"; the route ran from Chicago to Lake Michigan via Denver/Colorado and Salt Lake City/Utah to Oakland in California.
The 26600 set consists of a 3-piece diesel locomotive EMF-F7, with the configuration: A-unit1, B-unit1, B-unit2 and 6-Streamliner express train carriages.
Total train length: approximately 205 cm.
2-Digital FX decoders, address 06 and 07.
2-Controlled high-efficiency drives - one in the A-unit1 and one in B-unit2.
Each (5-pole) motor powers 2 axles, 4 traction tyres.
2-Point front signal and 2 locomotive numbers 805D are digitally switchable (07-f0).
With one switch, a selection can be made: continuous front lighting or directional lighting.
Interior lighting of the 6-carriages digitally switchable(06-f1). NOTE: Indoor lighting only works if the carriage is connected to the closing carriage via the supplied power-conducting couplings.
In the closing carriage, under address 06, the following switching actions are possible:
f1: Indoor lighting 6-carriages switchable.
f2: position lighting L+R switchable.
f3: red top light switchable.
f4: destination board California Zephyr red switchable.
Sound module (address 07) with 4 switchable sounds:
f0: front signals switchable.
f1: diesel sound switchable and depending on the speed of the locomotive.
f2: clock switchable.
f3: signal horn switchable.
f4: dynamic brake switchable (direct control).
Adjustable sound volume on the one hand for diesel engine sound and on the other hand for bell, signal horn and brake.
Adjustable signal horn: short or long.
Equipped driver's cab and metal grip rods.
Fixed drawbar between all locomotive units.
Snowplough can be installed separately.
All carriages have a superstructure of aluminium, feature 2x 2-axle wheel sets and power conducting couplings and internal lighting, switchable via the end carriage.

Tested and fully functional.
The set weighs approx. 3100 grams.
The model has hardly been run on the rail layout, see the clean pick-up shoe and wheel surfaces.
With manual and a bag with loose parts.
The lid of the packaging has some very slight damage, see photos.
The set can be collected, shipped or delivered (only within the Netherlands).
When shipping the set will always shipped via registered and insured mail.
