Haliotis Iris, also known as Rainbow Abalone, is a species of snail that is characterised by a shell made entirely of mother of pearl.
The iridescent tones of this specimen, which veer from green to blue/purple, have made it a rare collector’s item.
This species is bred only in New Zealand.
