The painter Chris Snijders, born in 1881, was self-taught. He lived and worked almost his entire life in Rotterdam. Snijders mostly painted cityscapes, harbour views and landscapes in and around his hometown. He is also known for his Mediterranean works and landscapes in North Africa and Zeeland and cityscapes of Bruges.
The work without the frame measures 40 x 80 cm.
The item will be sent in a custom made crate to avoid damage.
