The lamp for auction in this lot needs no introduction. It is an icon of the Italian design, winner of the Compasso d’Oro award in 1967, one of the best works by Vico Magistretti for Artemide, etc. It is virtually a mechanical potentiometer, that allows to manually adjust the light intensity.
This pure Space Age-style lamp is original in all its parts, including the paintwork. The small imperfections visible in the pictures do not affect the value of this over 50-years-old item.This item is intended for collectors who love authentic objects without compromise or fabrications of history.
