Original manuscript leaf on parchment from a book of hours in Middle Dutch. From the time of Modern Devotion, possibly derived from the book of hours of Gerard Groote. From the Northern Netherlands.

Probably from a quite expensive book of hours, since only a small part of the expensive parchment is written. The margins are wide.

On recto is a text, perhaps of a prayer. On verso one antiphon and two versicles are indicated with red letters.

Written in a black handwriting with 18 lines. Every first word of a sentence is accentuated with red or blue.
This is page 9 of the manuscript, which can be read in a later hand.

The leaf has a light stain in the top corner and remnants of old paper tape on verso.

Leaf size: 16.5 × 11.5 cm and type area: 9 × 7 cm.

Comes in an acid-free Melinex sleeve.
