Pair of silver brooch-clasp called "chapraz", from the Turkoman people.
Made of high-grade silver (tested) and glass beads.
From early XXth c. In excellent conditions. Nice worn patina.
The "chapraz" clasps are worn at the lower end of the broad collar of the Turkoman coat, consisting of black fabric, where de "chapraz" are sewn. It can, if the coat is to be washed, be removed. As a result of this function, the "chapraz", with an eyelet and a hook, belong to the "Functional Jewelry", which is only represented in a few examples in the Turkoman area.
