Bing & Grøndahl was a Danish porcelain manufacturer founded in 1853 by sculptor Frederik Vilhelm Grøndahl and merchant brothers Meyer Hermann Bing and Jacob Herman Bing.
In 1895, Bing & Grøndahl created the first of their series of Christmas plates.
The Bing & Grøndahl porcelain trademark depicts three towers derived from Copenhagen’s coat of arms.
In 1987 the company merged with its main competitor, the Royal Porcelain Factory under the name Royal Copenhagen.
Designed with a traditional winter scene in cobalt blue and white, the plates have been released every year for over 100 years.
From a private collection, purchased in Turin’s most important jewellery shop.
