LINGE DE LIT FRANÇAIS VICTORIEN - Coton - Début du XXe siècle

Description
LINGE DE LIT FRANÇAIS VICTORIEN - Coton - Début du XXe siècle
France

This is the second bed linen which I was allowed to select from
the lady's extensive collection of Antique bed and table linen.
Again these bed linen were very rarely used and you can instantly see this is. It is crisp, clean and so very "handsome". And the lady confirmed this. Simpler sheets were used for every day and only thé best came out of the armoire on very special occasions, but these were rare she confirmed.
The initials P.C. standing for Pierre - Charles are virtually embossed onto the linen and the flowers, tender branches with leaves and the two larger flowers - one on each letter are "playfully" intertwined between and in the letters. The scallops are well done with on each scallop 5 pea stitchings and above it " small leaves".
A beautiful and handsome bed linen to love and cherish!!
