Art Nouveau pewter jewellery tray in figural and plant form. The tray depicts a young maiden reading a book reclining against of support of flower buds and stems positioned along one edge. The maiden is wearing a long, flowing pleated dress with flower-like sleeves, and is sat among flowers and tendrils which curve sinuously and extend into a whiplash form around the hem of the dress. Has a hallmark depicting an angel with the letters "AB" with the number 1129 on the backside, slightly rubbed out. Possibly an Achille Gamba piece, due to the similarity of design and hallmark - signature possibly rubbed off. Excellent condition, some small scratches or pockmarks present, due to age. 12 cm tall 22 cm at widest point 33 cm long 1,212 grams. The parcel will be sent fully tracked and insured.
