Japanese Woodblock deluxe reprint - Suzuki Harunobu (1725-1770) print from 1860-1870's,
Title: The Heron Maiden (Sagi Musume), or
Winter: Snowflowers (Future, Mitsubishi no hana)
from the series Fashionable Flowers of the Four Seasons (Fuzoku shiki no hana).
MFA (reprint) ref. 21.4661 (https://collections.mfa.org/objects/232338)
Quite high quality of the impression considering the fine details with embossing of the fur coat and hand applied snow. Good condition considering the age. The paper is rather thick and it is hard to tell if it's backed or not, part of a price tag on the reverse side. Very good colors. Tanning and surface dirt, a few stains, wear to the color on the face. The last photo shows the print from the reverse side when held before a light.
