Greece - Sicilian votive figurine of a seated goddess (Persephone/Kore?) wearing polos and peplos. Both hands resting on her knees. Detailed example featuring a beautiful archaic smile.
Late 6th-early 5th century BC.
Condition: Some parts of the lower part of the figurine are restored (traces of modern additions on the knees). Overall in good condition.
Provenance: Ex. H.A.C. Kunst der Antike; Acquired at TEFAF Maastricht in 1992.
