Romain antique Argent Romano Celtic décoré Fibula - Broche avec tête de serpent - (1)
1st - 2nd century AD

Romano Celtic silver alloy fibula brooch featuring an elongated diamond-shaped bow with X decoration running into a circle-dot engraved square. The tail is decorated with a linear decorated knob, a stone bead and snake head terminal, with a red glass insert in one of the eyes.

Length: 74,1 mm
Width: 19,5 mm

Condition: Good solid condition, complete with catchplate and pin (rigid), one tiny glass insert in snake's eye missing. Signs of wear consistent with age and use. See images.

Purchased by the current owner from a Dutch collection in 2020.
