Romain antique Bronze Lampe à huile - (1)

Ancient Roman bronze Oil Lamp. Ring handle with ornamental leaf-shaped thumb rest. Concentric rings around the filling hole and long spout with circular opening for the wick.

The use of bronze was a luxurious alternative to oil lamps made from pottery or clay and a sign of the wealth of its owner.

Length: 106,3 mm
Height: 68,4 mm
Width: 63,2 mmm

Condition: fair condition, some damage to the bottom. Signs of wear consistent with age and use. See images.
