This rare group of figures depicts the story of Erigone and Bacchus, who manages to seduce the daughter of Ikarios the farmer with sweet grapes
The typical blue sceptre brand of KPM can be found at the bottom. Bacchus and Erigone inscription on the back of the base.
Dimensions: 25.5 x 14.5 cm
Comparison literature: Lenz 1913, p. 30 table 137 (this is an earlier group of painted figures, which was attributed to Johann Georg Müller). According to KPM, this figure was later reworked, resulting in the figure presented here in a monochrome colour scheme.
Provenance: Important private collection, Berlin.
Condition: The figure is in a generally good, restored condition. Professionally glued and supplemented in places. The handle of the flower pot is probably missing. Please see the photos!
