A rare erotic bronze from the early 20th century, likely Wiener bronze. It features two figures in a loving pose, on the inside. Small bronze sculptures from Wiener makers, widely used as decorative objects ("Nippes") in the 19th and early 20th century, now rather appreciated by collectors.
The peak of demand curve came in the period of foundation: numerous companies produced more or less exotic human figures (Asian, Indian, "Moors") on their mounts, then also animals without human figures, elephants, lions, dogs and hyenas, as well as small animals such as frogs and insects. It measures 19x10x9.5 cm.
