Two-piece silver sewing set comprising scissors and a thimble, contained in a brown leather case with beige velvet plateau for tools. Inside lid has a cream silk lining with jewelers label "Maison Berquin, Rue de la Station 72-74, Braine-le-Comte. Tools have a beautiful decoration in reliëf with a clear impression. Export mark inclusive maker's mark and 800 silver, used from 1884 to date. The steel blades of the scissors are marked "Nogent".
Weight silver tools = 17.1 grams. Total weight with case = 70.0 grams.
France 1885-1900. All parts in excellent condition.
A very nice addition to a sewing tool collection.
