8 Reales silver coin, minted in 1801, at the American mint of Mexico, assayer F·T.
Obverse: CAROLUS IIII DEI GRATIA 1801 (Charles IIII by the grace of God) around a bust of the king facing right.
Reverse: ‘HISPAN ET IND REX’, Mo (mint) 8 R · F.T. (assayer) (King of Spain and the Indies) around a crowned coat of arms with castles and lions with the pomegranate and coat of arms of the Bourbons, between two columns, in the columns volutes with inscription PLUS VLTRA.
26.65 g. 39 mm.
Very fine preservation. Some oxidation cleaned on the front, beautiful tonality in silver.
