Marble sculpture representing a beautiful male head, inspired by the great classic sculpture by Greek sculptor Lysippus, Apoxyómenos ("The Scraper").
The beautiful patina makes it look like an original.
It is carved on Carrara marble and rests on a separable travertine base.
It is part of an array of museum-like looking works, created at Todini’s laboratory in the 1990s
In 2011, the Lazio Region classified Todini workshop as a lab “of high aesthetic and cultural value”, and granted the use of an origin and quality mark.
In 2015 the Osservatorio dei Mestieri d’Arte in Florence (OMA) included them in the list of excellence of Italian trades
