Negusanti’s treatise on pawns and mortgages in Roman law was a reference work for several generations of lawyers across Europe. The first edition was published in 1526. Several editions followed, the last of which was published in 1736.

More than to teaching, he devoted himself to the judicial and administrative career; in 1494 he was among the senators of Rome.
