With Lapis lazuli and gemstones
This unique world map is meticulously crafted using more than thirty different semi-precious gems from around the world.
They used a large amount of blue jasper, which was pulverized and mixed with an epoxy resin, and then poured to make the ocean part of the globe (which is a very complicated and expensive procedure, an accurate temperature control is the most essential factor in the cycle processing).
Each country is inlaid with a different stone, they are cut individually and crushed for the need of shapes, and polished.
The elements of the world are made from onyx, lapis lazuli, mother of pearl, amethyst, African jade, tiger's eye, jasper, turquoise, purple quartz, unakite, abalone, green marble and many other stones with beautiful shades and rich veining.
The lines of latitude and longitude are thin stripes of polished brass, embedded all over the globe.
Each piece requires ten individual steps which take many hours of work
