Reflex film camera Asahi Pentax SV from 1966
complete with lens Zenit Helios MC 44M-5 58 mm f 1: 2
The Asahi Pentax SV is one of the first reflex cameras by Pentax. The device is exceptionally sturdy, made entirely of metal and masterfully built,
made to last.
Its mechanical shutter with horizontal curtain provides shutter speeds from 1 s to 1/1000 s in addition to the B mode.
Of course, its operation is exclusively mechanical, there is nothing electronic or electrical inside.
The original self-timer is activated by turning the ASA/DIN control knob and is calibrated at approximately 10 s of delay.
Here it is paired with a great 58 mm Helios 44M-5 f2
The camera is in good condition and works flawlessly. However, there are some signs of the ageing, which consist of spots where the black chrome plating has worn out.
On the contrary, the lens is as good as new.
