Illuminated manuscript on double page, on XV-century parchment (1430 circa), written most likely in a Scriptorium in Central-Northern France.
Handwritten text on one column of 16 lines for each side with the use of a pale dark brown ink and annotated with pale red ink.
Text in Latin and sometimes in French, liturgical manuscript in elegant Gothic-Batarde style, a classic of the XV century.
This handwritten parchment is in fair condition, considering its nearly 600 years of age.
As shown in the photos, there are various signs of aging, including the sign of a sheet glued in the past and then removed from this parchment.
As one can see, I used a chiaroscuro technique for the preparation of the photos, to try to make the audience understand and above all see the absolute homogeneous brilliance / shine that is present in the gold used to illuminate this type of manuscript.
Total size of the handwritten parchment: 11.4 x 15.8 cm.
Size of the handwritten part on each size: 6 x 4.1 cm.
