Edit Bukrán is a ceramic artist, she has graduated in 1980 at the Hungarian College of Applied Arts in ceramics major. Her master in art was Árpád Csekovszky. In the last years she builds her objects up from smaller elements, to see how modifying these smaller particles changes the whole object's character. These particles stand out and are independent, they morph under force, they demand a place for themselves, so they affect their environment. The objects are built up without binder material, final binding is up to the glaze flowing into the boundaries of the elements and up to the heat of the furnace. She works using half-porcelain and chamotte clay. Her objects are hand painted and are burned three or four times.
