Description: A beautiful Japanese woodblock print executed by the Uchida workshop by the artist Benji Asada. It depicts a scene illuminated by the moon with a temple / pagoda and two Japanese women walking with their umbrellas, looking like it rained recently. The colours are vibrant, with pink and shades of blue. It is titled and signed (also with seal) on the top right corner.
Uchida Han is an important Japanese publishing company with branches in Tokyo and Kyoto. Founded in 1919, the company still exists today as an active publisher of shin-hanga, while they also publish re-strikes of ukiyo-e prints from the Edo period.
Signed: Tangyu and with the publisher's seal; Uchida, publisher.
Condition: Fine (perfect) except for some very light spots on the margins (often seen in ANTIQUE prints), full margins. No drops, wrinkles, folds, mainly some light fading. Please review the photos as they are part of the description.
