Beautiful ensemble of cutlery parts from around 1935.
There are 24 cutlery parts from Christofle, from the highly popular Rubans Croisés series. The photos show that they have been used intensively, as can be seen by the small scratches, but this of course provides them with that extra character. Their previous owner claimed that the cutlery had served in restaurant Comme Chez Soi in Brussels between the 1950s and somewhere in the 80s, but I myself wouldn't vow for this as there is no proof to substantiate this claim. But even with all these signs of wear, Christofle cutlery will always bring added value to your table. What's in a name... As for Christofle, this set contains the following pieces:
6 large forks of 20 cm
6 large spoons of 20 cm
6 entremets forks of 15.5 cm (Can also be used as cake fork)
6 coffee or dessert spoons of 12.5 cm.
The original knives of this series were in very poor condition, whereby two even had cracks in the blade, so I've replaced these by other antique knives which are in like new condition and which have ebony grips and a silver-plated decoration. These are also of French make. Check the photos. The remaining pieces are:
6 large knives
6 entremets knives.
Class and character for on your table.
All pieces are neatly polished. What you see is what you get.
Will be packaged securely and sent by insured post.
