Amazing advertising poster from 1889, reprinted in the 1970s/80s.
A bit of history
Edouard Cointreau aspired to create a new visual universe that would be inseparably linked to his product. This led to the creation of a new poster with a new image. The Pierrot Cointreau character was created by Nicholas Tamagno, a celebrated portrait artist of the time, inspired by a photo of a Pierrot taken by Nadar. In this advertising poster, the white Pierrot Cointreau wears a pair of lorgnettes and holds a bottle of Cointreau among his hands, evoking both the purity of the liqueur and its sweetness.Unique and authentic collector’s item, perfect for home décor.
Preserved in excellent condition.
