The artwork is made of porcelain, oxidizing fired at 1240 C. The wall thickness is about a millimetre, so there is some transparency in the porcelain.
This is an unique handmade object.
The signature, in relief, is visible in the 5th photo.
In 2016, the artist signed his work with only his first name and the first letter of his last name.
The artwork is packed in a custom-made wooden box with foam rubber lining.
Upon shipment, this box “box in box” will be packed, filling the gap with air cushions.
Hans Meeuwsen calls his work "constructions".
They are constructions based on creamy white and wafer-thin slices of porcelain, which he assembles into cubes or pyramids.
