Aubrites are a rare type of meteorite in the achondrites group which possibly come from the Eger asteroid.
History: Bought in December 2005 by Greg Hupé from a Moroccan merchant in Tagounite.
Physical characteristics: Thirty-six pale grey to whitish stones that lack fusion bark and with a total weight of 8,672 g. Several stones have a light orange outer stain, and two stones contain one or two dark brown (1-2 mm wide) transverse veins of iron oxide magnetic minerals and fine grain hydroxide.
