Name: Parkinsonia parkinsoni and Spiroceras orbignyi
Origin: France, Calvados, Ste. Honoroine des Pertes
Age: Jurassic, Dogger, Bajocium, parkinsoni-zone
The ammonite comes from the famous site "Les Hachettes", the coastal section between Ste. Honorine des Pertes and Port en bessin. Finds from that discovery site are no longer possible! This is an old find!
The ammonite had to be glued several times, as it was broken during rescue.
Please note that the back of the ammonite is not preserved (see pictures).
The special thing about this piece is that on the Parkinsonia a very rare unrolled ammonite of the genus Spiroceas sits, a unique combination.
Supplied without stand / mount.
Will be shipped as an insured parcel with tracking number.
