"Trophy" enamel sign (Langcat Bussum).
The Trophy brand was conceived in 1950 by N.V. beer brewery De Drie Hoefijzers (Breda) and is a corruption of 'trois fers (à cheval)' or three horseshoes. When the brewery from Breda started production of soft drinks in 1948, they were initially sold under the brand name Rode Leeuw. In fact, in 1948 the soft drinks production of beer brewery De Roode Leeuw from Zeeland was moved to Breda. In 1950, the Rode Leeuw brand was replaced by Trophy.
Board has some superficial scratches, but is otherwise in (very) good condition!
It has a beautiful lustre and bright colours. Not retouched and suspension eyelets intact!
See the photos as well for the quality of the sign.
