Amitabha, the Buddha of compassion, has two names. One is Amitabha "Infinite Light", the other Amitayu's "Immeasurable Light and Life." This second name describes the immeasurable duration of his life. Amitabha's wisdom is that of discernment or mutual separation, it is the "wisdom of intuitive vision."

Cloisonné

Cloisonné is an artisan technique for enamel work. In manufacturing, thin wires or metal strips are decoratively soldered on, and then in several work steps different coloured glass fluxes are let in between them. The blank is then fired at approx. 750-800 °C.

Age and origin

The sitting Buddha sculpture originally comes from the province of Qinghai. The age of the noble Buddha figure is estimated to be about 30 to 50 years.

The item is ready for international shipment with UPS and is also available for self collection in Berlin, Germany.
