An antique ink jar in teapot shape, made in France
around 1835-1845. Made of soapy opal half-crystal.
The decoration on the hexagonal jar is decorated with
cast "morning glories" flowers. This piece has therefore been attributed
to Baccarat. These ink jars, called "siphoid" (sifon) in French,
are very popular with collectors.
