Important sculpture depicting the body of the dying Christ, in carved and painted lime wood. The drape on his hips is gilded with gold leaf.
The corpus is preserved in a coeval frame made of carved wood gilded with gold leaf.
Period: 18th century.
Preservation: Christ is fixed on a wooden panel and it is intact, with its original patina. Please note that there are some chips on the crown of thorns, for the rest it is a masterpiece of beauty and craftsmanship.
Size of the sculpture from head to toe: approx. 40 cm. The arm opening measures 32 cm approx.
The picture has an overall size of 60 x 50.
On a wall, it is extraordinary for anyone in front of it.
